Chomper

After noticing that Trevor enjoys chomping his gums on anything, (his fists, my fingers and knuckles, or anything else that gets near his mouth), I decided I need to find some teethers. My mom and I found these cool zoli teethers at Land of Nod when we visited U Village in Seattle a couple weeks ago. Trevor is now able to grasp at them and hold them for a bit while he chomps on the bumpy end. He really enjoys going to town on them. Who knows, maybe we'll see a tooth in the near future.
I also noticed that he seems to reach for it more with his left hand. This could be good... maybe a left-handed pitcher?

And so it starts...

Trevor went into Daycare today to meet his teachers and fellow babies of the Nursery. The director told me that bringing him in the week before he was to start was ultimately more for my benefit than his. I pulled up to the daycare and went to take Trevor out of the car, when I looked over to see the entire Toddler 2 class pressed against the window watching us. I heard my nephew shouting that "Baby Trevor" was there. He and one of the teachers came to open the door for me. What a nice greeting! I am happy that Trevor will have his cousin close by. I left him for a few hours while I went into school and ran a couple of errands. He did well, and only got a little fussy. He took a bottle when he was hungry enough, so I am feeling better about that. I was so excited to go and pick him up! I sure did miss my Lovey. Monday is gonna be a long day.

Here are some pictures of Trevor and his stuffed "Stella" the corgi dog. He likes to talk to her and chew on her face and feet. Sometimes the real Stella tries to play too.

Purple Mouth Syndrome

Trevor visited his pediatrician again today to try and get some relief from his battle with Thrush. She had the nurse put some violet concoction in his mouth to help. Believe it or not, this picture was taken after the color had toned down a bit. I didn't even feel like going to Target after the appointment because I didn't want to get judgemental stares from people who would think that I gave my baby a purple marker, frosting, Popsicle, you name it! I jokingly call it PMS (Purple Mouth Syndrome), the same thing I get after a glass of red wine! Oh well, as long as it helps. He weighed in at 15 lbs. 8 oz. at today's visit. He is up a half a pound since last Friday. Yikes! Have a nice weekend from the Purple People Eater, Trevor.

12 Weeks, 15 Pounds

Trevor had to pay a visit to his pediatrician yesterday. He was acting very crabby and not eating very well. It turns out that he has a case of Thrush. He was given nasty "fruit flavored" meds to get him on the mend. Hopefully he will get better ASAP! While at the appointment, we found out that he currently weighs in at 15 pounds on the money. Wonder what he'll weigh at his 4 month check-up in May...

Gram's Birthday Present

Trevor and his cousin Jackson recently got their pictures taken to give as presents for Gram's birthday. They wore both UW Huskies gear and plaid outfits. Love the hats. Happy Birthday Gram!
